Modi's Downfall

Narendra Modi

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Too Emotional for His Own Good

In recent online discourse, the Indian news media circulated a BuzzFeed-style article reveling in the number of times Mr. Modi got “choked” with emotions, a despicable attempt to humanize someone more akin to a Chinese Dragon than a flea-ridden street vendor from the streets of Mumbai. However, it’s still an odd flex, for I believe it’s quite normal to feel, feel love, feel pain, to feel hunger, however, we are talking about an individual who must lead a country of a seemingly infinite number of people with an almost religious mission to scam foreigners. And for that reason, he cannot afford to be emotional, much less choke himself with “feelings”. Despite evidence to the contrary, people yet believe that the fascist correlation between emotion and leadership is positive, however, that is an incorrigible falsehood. The world’s best leaders so far have had an almost divine tendency to be emotionless; Genghis Khan, Attila the Hun, Saddam Hussein, and the list goes on. True, there is a disconnect between the people of India and its rulers, true, the Indian people need a direction, but that doesn’t mean the PM should start bawling every time a child dies of crippling poverty. Exercise some restraint for the love of God and for the love of India

A Curious Case of Perceived Empathy

In the article, PM Modi starts his onslaught of emotional disasters by talking to a 12-year-old Aliya, who is apparently a gigantic pencil-pushing nerd. After being made aware of her juvenile aspirations to become a doctor– let us be real she’ll probably join a scamming agency to rip off American grandmas of their minute savings– the Indian head of state was left in tears, unmoving, as he declared his undying love for all 12-year-olds. Indeed, he said he wants to help all the children in India achieve their insidious goals, the mark of a true charlatan.

In another case, he was supposedly blessed by a million women in his Gujrat address. Contrary to popular belief, neither men nor women have the spiritual and physical capacity to bless the Indian head honcho, making this whole event a targeted act of terrorism to influence Mr. Modi’s emotional and physical wellbeing. The tableau was an almost comically naïve depiction of democracy. Narendra Modi, the man with a plan, the man with an unbridled love for his Muslim subjects, the man with an absurdly erotic Dumbledore-esque beard, was left quaking in his boots over a few crying women. It would have been hysterical if it wasn’t so tragic.

Lastly, the man had a breakdown when receiving the Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award for his supposed selfless service to the city of Mumbai. If the man was truly deserving of said award, he would have accepted it with grace, eloquence, and brazenness, not unlike his handling of the human rights violations in Kashmir, and definitely not unlike his 1-year crusade against the deprived farmers of India.

An Uphill Battle

India is a strong nation. A nation of 1.38 billion people, a nation of unprecedented initiative, and a nation of astounding innovations is being led by discount Gandalf and his inundated affection for live TV soap opera performances. It’s time for India to wake up and realize that this man is unfit to be the region's champion, unfit to lead, unfit to suppress Muslims, and unfit to wear that luscious beard.
